Be sure to come in on Thursday to take part in one of the local favorites – The Fireman’s Parade (A.K.A. Octoberfest!). The festivities start at 7 pm in downtown Oakland featuring a huge fireman’s parade with fire and rescue units traveling over 200 miles from throughout the tri-state area. There will also be plenty of food, and beer trucks will be on-site (for those of you over 21). The primary Autumn Glory parade is held on Saturday at 1:00 pm and features over 100 units including local bands, clubs, and organizations.
