If you have been following us, then you know that we have a responsibility to participate in the Adopt A Highway program.
On our first cleanup we had 4 members of the Blue Moon Rising Team tackle our designated strip of 219 at Deep Creek Lake, which includes the Deep Creek Lake Bridge.
We picked a total of 6 large trash bags in 1.5 hours. Maryland Adopt A Highway program suggests that we coordinate a clean up 4 times a year. We plan to do a pick up one time every month, including the winter months. To take our cleanup missions to the next level, we plan to sort the litter and recycle it appropriately.
