We have a unique resort and work diligently to provide an equally unique experience for you and your wedding guests. Our location is so naturally beautiful, you don’t even need to decorate (but of course you can if you’d like).
While most wedding and reception venues move people in and out quickly, we understand the value of time spent with loved ones and insist your wedding isn’t a one day blur, but a multiple day event you and your closest friends and family will never forget.
Many weddings are defined by stress filled late night or early morning decorating sessions and the essence of why you’re getting married is lost, not here at Blue Moon Rising.
The community buildings included in your package will become the beating heart of the weekend and a place to enjoy time with those closest to you. The perfect outdoor space for a smaller, more laid back, rehearsal dinner for up to 60.
By the time Saturday morning rolls around there should be little left to plan and organize, a few final touches and your special day is ready.
The wedding ceremony takes place in what we lovingly refer to as the “Universal Evergreen Chapel of Earth”. Wrapped by towering Pine trees, the ceremony site is one of a kind woodland setting.
One of our unique Teepee tents is positioned just to the side of the ceremony site and provides ample space for the cocktail hour after the ceremony has concluded and you’ve been swept off with the photographer for those all-important post wedding photos. After the cocktail hour, your guests will travel a short distance to the equally interesting and unique reception area.
A towering oak tree gently watches over the reception as you eat drink and be married. A second teepee tent connects to a large reception tent which protects the specially built 10’ rustic barn wood tables for your dinner. Unlike many other venues who turn all the lights on and usher you out at 11pm, our resort is all yours and provides plenty of privacy to allow your reception to continue late into the night.
Your 1st morning as a married couple can begin with a communal breakfast in one of the community buildings. You will have all day Sunday to relax and send off the friends and family who are completely blown away by how awesome your wedding was and you’ll get one more night to enjoy Blue Moon Rising on Deep Creek Lake. Monday morning it all finally comes to an end, check out is at 11AM.
45-75 people is the recommended guest list, 100 guests is our maximum capacity. This venue is perfect for an intimate wedding with your family and closest friends. Encourage your guests to turn your Deep Creek Lake wedding venue into a vacation and spend time with you at the resort throughout the week leading up to your big day!
We block out the whole facility for you from Wednesday through Monday morning.
