There is nothing that quite compares to a firework show as you’re boating on a gorgeous lake. The fireworks can be seen all around as they reflect off the waters, creating a unique experience lake lovers always look forward to. That’s what the Deep Creek Lake 4th of July celebration is all about!
Every year for the 4th of July, Deep Creek Lake local businesses go all out for the 4th of July with live music, local food stands, shopping, and of course – the most epic firework display over the lake.
Here were a few great events we had this year!
Deep Creek Farmers Market
We have had a great year of our annual farmers market, and it’s still going strong! On the weekend before Independence Day, we had live music from one of our local favorites, Buffalo Run. Members of the community came in their patriotic gear to enjoy the day together.
Every year, local restaurants, breweries, crafters, and businesses set up stands at the Deep Creek Farmers Market. Meet local businesses and community members that are the heart of the Deep Creek Lake community.
The farmers market is held every Friday from the end of May through September. At the market, you can listen to live music, get face paint for kids, play games, and get a taste of local food from the many restaurants nearby.
Deep Creek Lake 4th of July Concert
Each year, Wisp Resort hosts a free concert on the 4th of July at Stage Wisp. This year, our local musicians took the stage from 6:30 to 9:30 right before the big firework display.
Community members and visitors enjoyed live music and local eats as we celebrated Independence Day together.
Fire on the Mountain Fireworks Display
Wisp Resort’s Fire on the Mountain Fireworks Display never disappoints! It was hosted by Garrett County Chamber of Commerce, and the display overlooked the lake from Marsh Mountain.
Boaters on the water got the best views, especially from McHenry Cove. The fireworks were gorgeous as they reflected off of the waters!
The lawn at Garrett College was another great area to catch the firework show. Couples and families from all over the area set up lawn chairs and blankets to watch the show.
