Reminiscing on Summer Weddings

We are still reminiscing on our summer weddings this year! We had 7 summer weddings and have 5 scheduled for the remainder of summer and fall. It is fun to see the uniqueness that each couple brings on their wedding day. This summer, there was a great mix of music styles – country, pop, oldies, and classic rock. We also had a mix of both formal and informal attire. 

All of the summer weddings brought a special moment of togetherness for the wedding couple and their guests. Being in an intimate setting in the woods for a weekend is really a special time for family and friends to be together. It’s not just the wedding day itself, but a weekend full of barbecues, lake time, hiking, and being outdoors. 

Hosting weddings is one of our favorite things we do at Blue Moon Rising. We love seeing all the joy that weddings bring, always full of love, smiles, and laughter from family and friends.

An Intimate Venue for Summer Weddings

Are you looking for a wedding venue with an intimate outdoor setting for you and your guests? Our Blue Moon Rising wedding venue is at Deep Creek Lake in McHenry, Maryland. Our venue offers an intimate setting for you and your guests with scenic views – a quiet escape that you all will love. 

We provide 14 rental cabins for a minimum 3 night stay, allowing you more time with your guests. Our decor includes rustic barn wood tables and a 40’ by 60’ reception tent and dance floor.
