Winter Season at BMR

If you have ever been to Garrett County, then you know that we experience amazing mountain weather conditions. You really have to come and take it all in for yourself. As a warning, we are sending out a letter to our guests a week before their arrival filled with pertinent weather information and details.

While winter can be a beautiful sight, it can be a challenge if you are not prepared for the cold and wind and snow. Please expect to be outside in a winter weather environment during your stay with us. Here are some suggestions for you to be prepared and fully enjoy your stay with us.

Winter Gear

  • Insulated Winter Boots w/ Tread (Uggs are not boots )
  • Ski Jacket / Parka
  • Winter Pants
  • Gloves
  • Thermal Undies
  • Knit Hat
  • Hoodies
  • Goggles (if you have them)

Our community is designed so that there is no car access directly to the cabins. The parking lot is located in front of the main building. We will load your luggage in one of our winter equipped electric carts and ferry you and your gear to and from the cabins at check in and out.

Our staff is here each night until 10pm to assist you in getting up and down the hill if needed, but please prepare for walking through a winter weather environment during your stay with us.
